Introduction
Phatcom.net, LLC is an Open Source Software (OSS) Project devoted to providing secure services across the Internet at the lowest cost to the company and the customer. The company provides secure, private versions of popular internet applications such as:
- webhosting
- e-commerce
- virtual servers
- internet relay chat (irc)
- proxy services
Privacy is achieved by encrypting all data while it is being transmitted and when it is stored. Any and all user information is stored, in encrypted form, in the database, which is encypted on the hard drive. All communication between the servers is done over IPSEC encrypted virtual private network (VPN) channels. All this is done to ensure that no one can access your information, except for who you intended. This also brings an inconvience; if the password or passphrase is lost all data is lost unless you have access to a supercomputer and an unlimited supply of money.
